Mr. Honiberg has a diverse background in the health care field that includes hospital operations, strategic planning, and policy research. Mr. Honiberg founded Potomac Health Associates following stints in the health care practices of several large policy and research firms, ICF, and Abt Associates. Since 1992, he has focused on the intersection between research, business development and healthcare contracting in federal market sectors in general, and within the Department of Defense and the Department of Veterans Affairs in particular. Mr. Honiberg has developed unique expertise in the federal procurement and acquisition process, specifically as it relates to health care contracting initiatives. He has been asked to present to clinical and contracting staff from various federal agencies and served as an expert witness in a shareholder rights suit involving a military health care contract. Since the firm’s inception, Mr. Honiberg’s clients have been awarded in excess of $3.75 billion in both competitive and non-competitive awards for health and insurance contracts from agencies of the federal government.
